PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the guidance of the SVP of Information Technology and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the IT Senior Systems Engineer provides guidance and training to less experienced IT Support roles. Work with IT Engineering team to transfer knowledge of IT projects to the support area. Responsible for analyzing, problem solving, configuring, maintaining, updating and patching network servers, VMware, network and telecommunication environment. The incumbent is responsible for updating and maintaining a variety of server and VMware technologies and configurations to meet the organizations short- and long-term objectives, and ensure all controls and configurations meet or exceed industry standards. Collaboratively works with IT team members to recommend tools, upgrades and additional resources necessary to support and achieve the organizations’ overall goals and mission. Work with Engineering level staff to maintain the Network, server and VMware environment. 3. Maintain policies and procedures outlining and supporting the organization’s goals and objects. 4. Work independently and in collaboration with vendors to maintain infrastructure systems. 5. Maintains current understanding of technical tools (i.e. network and VMware) necessary to assist/perform system maintenance, including network, server components, hardware and application updates and patches. 6. Create and maintain documentation and update tracking documentation. Success Measures 1. Highest levels of independent customer service abilities and demonstrated internal partner satisfaction 2. Clean audit results based from outside vendor reviews. 3. Timely communication of evolving or ongoing events. 3. Timely installation of all network, system, and component updates, patches, and releases. 4. All network, system, and component inventories, licenses, and certificates kept accurate and up to date. 5. Timely maintenance of Network and VMWare environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.

Requires working with vendors on resolving support issues and internal IT team members to assist with the support of new platforms. 3. Manages incoming support tickets queue; ensuring tickets are resolved within established SLAs. 4. Responsible for daily monitoring of outages, server and appliance resource management, and assuring systems are online and functional. 6. Responsible for maintaining up to date SSL certificate and domain renewals. 7. Performs regular reviews of infrastructure alerts, abnormalities, and patterns and adjust controls and or configurations to prevent service outage or system loss of data. 8. Understand all network servers, routers, switches, VMware, firewalls, Infrastructure appliances patches, and updates processes. 9. Responsible for providing timely systems and network reports to SVP of Information Technology including preparing written summaries of vendor findings, internal incidents and any network performance anomalies. 10. Responsible for working collaboratively with IT team members to proactively identify network inefficiencies through routine network performance testing. 11. Maintains technical knowledge through continuing education. 12. Assist SVP of Information Technology in evaluating all vendor technologies, controls, configurations, patches, and administrations to ensure consistencies and adheres to NHMB standards. 13. Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position. 14. Provide guidance and training to junior team members 15. Performs additional duties as requested.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise. Minimal physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; handling of light materials and supplies. May have long periods of time working at a terminal. Occasional travel and independent means of transportation required.

DESIRED JOB EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years’ experience with and performing the following:
Administering Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco industry standards and best practices in a Banking environment; Using network tools; Analyzing and performing Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware updates, patches, and configuration changes; Must have thorough understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, VMWare, and operating systems. Must be able to analyze server and VMware controls, configurations, and interfaces for to interface with a verity of platforms, services, and networks such as Wireless, VoIP, Cisco IOS, VMWare, Windows, Firewalls, Proxies, Storage, Apple, Email, and so on. Must be able to provide independent analysis and recommendations as needed.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced overall understanding of Cisco, VMWare, Microsoft Windows Server, and audio / video technologies; able to provide independent analysis and well thought out recommendations. Able to multitask, make quick, accurate decisions and work under tight time constraints and sometimes stressful conditions. Possess a service orientation with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to translate complex ideas into simple solutions on paper with a thorough understanding of network and telecommunication technologies.
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Must possess at a minimum any combination of the following certifications (CCNA , CompTIA A+, MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet Certified Professional, VMware Certified Professional) or combination of relevant work experience and certifications.
