Job Description

Director, System Development (PGIM, Inc., Newark, NJ): Responsible for developing the monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations, and alerts. Manage critical operation tasks as well as on-demand requests. Perform operations tasks which include creating, developing and managing the deployment architecture for the application. Automate configuration management operating mechanisms. Drive ongoing improvements and efficiencies in operational practices, tools and processes in addition to also building and implementing processes and operational standards for PGIM along with onboarding AEM. Responsible for the administering, provisioning, configuring, and monitoring of webservers and application servers. Responsible for Content Delivery Networks (CDN), and load-balancing systems on AWS. Employ DevOps and Agile Principles and continue to utilize Jira, Jenkins, and Ansible/Puppet to enable CI / CD of various cloud applications. Employ DevOps principles, such as “Infrastructure as Code”, in order to automate the infrastructure provisioning using Configuration Management tools and Provisioning templates. Partner with Development teams for a timely and smooth acceptance of deliverables into production environment. Work to automate the deployment and operation of cloud enabled applications and services in AWS and private cloud infrastructure. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $199,900.00 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, PTO, and more.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, or a related field, and 10 years of related work experience, of which 5 years are progressive post baccalaureate related work experience. Must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Drupal implementations on AWS;
  • Drupal administration and PHP administration;
  • Automation and configuration management using Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation;
  • Developing and maintaining CI/CD process for SaaS applications by accessing tools: Maven or Jenkins; and
  • Supporting ITIL processes: production support, off hours work, on call support and supporting frequent releases to any environment. Must have 5 years of experience utilizing scripting language: Shell or Python. Must have 4 years of experience working on data sources including MySQL, Oracle, Hadoop, or Cassandra. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Setting up monitoring using Splunk or Dyntratrace; and
  • Working with the SAFe Agile framework. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Adobe and AEM implementation;
  • Linux and Unix Administration; and
  • Building Traffic policies to support HADR.

Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
