From navigating large venues more intuitively to enabling real-time interaction with the event. Their platform is designed to make attending games and shows more seamless, connected, and engaging.
They’re looking for a hands-on Principal AWS Platform Engineer to join the founding team. You’ll be the senior technical leader responsible for scaling and optimizing our serverless AWS infrastructure. This is a critical role with impact across architecture, deployment, and live platform performance. They experiment constantly and believe innovation happens best in person, so this is an on-site role in Holmdel, NJ.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of software engineering experience, including recent hands-on leadership
Deep expertise in AWS architecture (especially Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB)
Strong Python development skills (this is a daily coding role)
Experience working at scale (bonus if from trading, real-time systems, or similarly high-load environments)
Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, ideally with CloudFormation
Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, ownership, and rapid change
What You Will Be Doing
Lead the design, development, and evolution of AWS-based serverless platform
Write and review high-quality Python code daily
Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, RDS, DynamoDB, Fargate, and API Gateway
Drive performance and scalability improvements to handle high-traffic, event-driven workloads
Collaborate across product and engineering teams to bring new features to life
Help shape platform security, observability, and operational excellence from the ground up
