Job Description
Cloud Engineer
Our client is a financial services firm. They seek a Cloud Engineer to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
Oversee current-generation cloud platform, leveraging scripting and automation tools
Design and architect the firm s next-generation public cloud platform
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their requirements
Facilitate the onboarding of their applications onto the firm s cloud platform
Utilize DevOps and infrastructure as code methodologies to realize the cloud platform
Seamlessly bridge on-prem Linux, storage, and network infrastructure with the cloud
Coordinate and complete changes to core public cloud infrastructure
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a top-tier university
2+ years of cloud engineering and programming experience
Must have a track record of success at a leading technology company
Proven experience with cloud infrastructure and automation
Passion for clean code, scalability, and solving hard technical problems from scratch
Strong grasp of distributed systems, container orchestration
Exceptional coding skills in C++, Python, or Java
Experience with deployment tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
