Platinion Lead IT Architect – Multiple Positions Position Available In New York, New York

Platinion Lead IT Architect (Boston Consulting Group, Inc. – New York, NY): Project manage teams of designers, engineers, researchers, technical experts, and consultants to develop leading IT concepts and architectural solutions, and to enable organizations to technically transform.

Specific duties include:

lead development of solution and application architecture and evaluation of alternative approaches; direct restructuring of IT processes and organizations; project manage IT functions during mergers and acquisitions, including the functional and technical transformation of organizations’ IT departments; evaluate organizations’ IT and software architecture; assess and implement IT architectures; develop technical concepts and design software solutions; assess quality assurance for IT implementation; develop and implement feasibility studies; design work modules in IT implementation projects; review technical architecture and code, and execute technical proofs of concept; analyze complex IT application landscapes and status quo for IT architecture optimization; develop functional and technical online and Internet strategies; optimize the application development processes; and contribute to BCG Platinion’s consulting business by assisting with business development through writing proposals and scoping projects as well as through written publications and speaking engagements.

Requires:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and eight (8) years of experience as a Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or a related occupation responsible for IT consulting or professional software development, which must include at least four (4) years of experience in IT architecture design and project management of large-scale IT projects. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of experience as noted above, BCG will accept a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field and six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or a related occupation responsible for IT consulting or professional software development, which must include at least four (4) years of experience in IT architecture design and project management of large-scale IT projects. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement not applicable to this section) – must possess the following: evaluating organizations’ IT architectures and IT products, including core systems and finding technical capability gaps, creating heat maps, and providing recommendations; supporting technical analysis, design, development, and execution of use cases and reviewing technical architecture and code; developing technical concepts, designing software solutions, and designing API and microservices for software applications; utilizing Next gen capabilities including DevOps, Cloud, AI/ML, IoT, Data platform and/or component technologies, and designing data analytics architecture using Data Lake; evaluating integration methodologies and tools, optimizing application development processes, assessing quality assurance for IT implementations, and designing work packages and modules in IT implementation projects; designing IT systems across industries, including but not limited to energy, supply chain, financial institutions, and pharmaceuticals; and developing enterprise architecture designs that align technology strategies with business objectives and support scalable, robust IT ecosystems. Partial telecommute benefit available. Must report to and reside within commutable distance of the listed BCG office. Domestic/international travel required (up to 70%) based on client/company need. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 45+ hours per week.

Salary:
