day ago We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft cloud services, infrastructure management, and retail/POS systems.
This position plays a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining both cloud-based and on-premise systems. You will support key business applications including Microsoft 365, Dynamics NAV / Business Central, Azure, Intune, and SQL Server, while also providing hands-on support for POS systems, mobile device management, and end-user workstations. The ideal candidate has a blend of deep technical knowledge, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to manage both enterprise and user-facing technologies in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement, and manage systems using Microsoft Azure, Intune, and Microsoft 365 technologies (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, AAD).
- Administer and support Windows Server 2016+, Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Services, and domain roles.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for desktop environments across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
- Deploy, automate, and maintain endpoint provisioning using Autopilot, Intune, and related tools.
- Support and troubleshoot POS software and hardware, including Toshiba, Verifone, Blackhawk, and Zettle, in a high-volume retail environment.
- Provide support for Dynamics NAV and/or Microsoft Business Central ERP environments, with a strong understanding of SQL Server and integrations.
- Administer Remote Desktop Services, Citrix workspace applications, and connectivity solutions.
- Manage and maintain virtual infrastructure using VMware vCenter/ESXi, with familiarity in Proxmox, Hyperconverged and NAS/SAN systems.
- Develop or support scripting/automation using PowerShell, Python, etc where applicable.
- Maintain documentation and perform system audits to ensure security, compliance, and performance standards.
- Provide Help Desk escalation support and assist with end-user training or troubleshooting as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle complex tasks with minimal direction.
- Logical thinker with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable both working independently and collaborating in a team environment.
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or related IT roles.
- Able to support end users directly while also owning individual projects and contributing to team initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem: Azure, Intune, and M365.
- Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Experience with POS hardware/software and supporting devices in a retail or field environment.
- Proficiency in SQL Server, including database support and integration with business systems.
- Solid understanding of endpoint management, remote desktop solutions, and device security.
VALUED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI and other reporting and BI tools.
- Experience with Citrix, NAS/SAN, or advanced server storage architecture.
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MD-102, or
MCSA/MCSE
are a plus.
