The Chief Architect is part of the Information Technologydepartment and reports to the Chief Information Officer. As ourChief Architect, you will lead the architecture team and beresponsible for establishing company-wide strategies and standardsthat guide the modernization and evolution of our systems andinformation infrastructure to ensure mission effectiveness as wellas efficiency. This role is responsible for documenting andmaintaining the “as-is” systems and data architectures and definingtarget architectures. The Chief Architect will oversee governanceprocesses to ensure alignment with target architectures andestablished CIS standards. The Chief Architect will also providearchitectural guidance and advice for CIS’s system developmentefforts, balancing operational needs and target architecturealignment. The Chief Architect will also participate in businessprocess change efforts and assist in the CIS-wide efforts todevelop and implement processes that support the effectivegovernance of our enterprise information systems. Salary Range:

Base salary is determined on anumber of factors including, but not limited to, education,experience and skills Health (PPO, EPO, HSA), Dental & VisionInsurance eligibility starting from the first day of hire $500wellness card for Health Coverage Participants 401(k) with 4%Company Match, vested from the first day of hire Flexible SpendingAccount (FSA) & Dependent Care Account (DCA) Life Insurance BondingLeave Paid Volunteering Program Bonus eligibility Paid Time Off(PTO) inclusive of vacation, personal and sick time Paid HolidaysWellness Program Employee Engagement Activities ProfessionalDevelopment Opportunities Tuition Reimbursement Student LoanPayDown Program Employee Referral program What Youll Do Serve as anadvisor to CIS leadership regarding systems architecture,standards, and implementation strategies, including presentingarchitectural tradeoffs and resolving architectural issues Developand maintain ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ architectures in formats that areappropriate to inform decision making for technical members andleadership to improve performance consistent with our CIS missionCoordinate with leadership to develop system evolution strategiesbased on target architectures, mission priorities, and availableresources Assist in identifying efficiencies through systemconsolidation, elimination, or standardization Establish andoversee governance processes that ensure system development effortscomply with CIS architects and standards Support the management ofkey programs to ensure fidelity with CIS standard architectures andpatterns, and to address architectural issues with third-partydevelopment organizations Provide leadership, coaching, and supportfor the IT architectural team Other tasks and responsibilities asassigned What Youll Need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Systems Engineering, or Information Systems• 5 years’ experience asan Enterprise or Chief Architect for organizations managingmultiple programs and projects 5 years experience leading anEnterprise Architecture team 5 years’ experience contributing tothe design and development of complex and distributed softwareprojects, specifically in a cloud environment (i.e., AWS, Azure)Proven ability to guide the development, adoption, and governanceof enterprise architectures, as well as architecture principles,standards, and guidelines Experience in serving as an architect todevelopment and business operations organizations as they plan andimplement their systems roadmaps Proven ability to partner acrosscomplex organizations to deliver enterprise solutions that meetmission needs and adhere to enterprise architecture standards,support capabilities, and align with future strategy Deep technicalunderstanding of application and data interfaces and use ofapplication programming interfaces Ability to document andcommunicate system capabilities and requirements to both technicaland non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levelsExperience with one or more architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF,Zachman, AIDAF) Ability to engage with vendors and third parties tocommunicate organizational needs and assess the fitness of productsand services for use by the organization Must be authorized to workin the United States Its a Plus if

You Have:

Master’s Degree inEnterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, orrelated discipline Knowledge and experience with Agilemethodologies Understanding of IT service management methodologiesand frameworks, especially ITIL •Additional years of relevantexperience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalentand relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’sdegree.
