Job Summary (Primary function) The SeniorCloud Security Architect is responsible for overseeing enterprisesecurity architecture across all technology stacks, includingon-premises, cloud, and emerging security risks. This role involvesworking closely with business, infrastructure, and other IT teamsto conduct security reviews, vulnerability assessments,remediation, and other cybersecurity initiatives. Additionally, theSenior Architect will manage resources and lead project managementefforts to ensure the organization’s security posture aligns withindustry best practices and organizational goals. This is a fullyremote position – Candidates within reasonable commuting distanceonly Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities) Developand oversee enterprise security architecture, ensuring alignmentwith organizational goals and industry best practices across alltechnology stacks, including on-premises, cloud, and emergingsecurity risks. Lead the implementation and management ofcomprehensive security solutions, ensuring robust protection forthe organization’s assets. Conduct vulnerability assessments,penetration testing, and security reviews, collaborating withvarious teams on remediation efforts. Provide expert guidance onsecurity controls and best practices for both on-premise andcloud-based solutions to IT and business teams. Perform detailedsecurity investigations, document findings and recommendations forcomplex incidents, and resolve issues while preserving forensicevidence. Identify and implement continuous improvements insecurity-related processes and technologies. Manage and mentor ateam of cybersecurity professionals, ensuring effective resourceallocation and professional development. Lead and managecybersecurity projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment withorganizational objectives. Collaborate with the Security OperationsCenter (SOC) and other teams to enhance detection and responsecapabilities. Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level ofeducation, work experience, and competency) 7 – 10 years ofexperience in IT with a focus on Cyber Security and Cloud securityservices. 4 years of Cloud Security architecture experience.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure CertifiedSecurity Specialist) preferred. Proven experience in managing andleading cybersecurity teams and projects. Extensive knowledge ofnetworking protocols and technologies, network securityarchitecture, and engineering. Expertise in cloud (AWS, Azure,Oracle) and on-premises security and related technologies. In-depthknowledge and experience with various security tools andtechnologies, including End-Point Security, SIEM, DLP, IRM,vulnerability assessment, and patch management. Comprehensiveunderstanding of risk and vulnerability mitigation. Knowledge ofsecurity standards and guidelines from NIST and SANS. Hands-onadministrative experience with Windows Server, Linux, Oracle DB,and SQL/Server technologies. Basic knowledge of ITIL. Strongproject management skills, including experience with projectplanning, execution, and monitoring. Excellentrelationship-building skills with both internal and externalstakeholders. Must have strong organizational and communicationskills. Must be a self-starter and work well independently, as wellas within a team environment.
