Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and secure Azure cloud infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with business goals and drive innovation in cloud platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure including VMs, storage, networking, security, and disaster recovery. Integrate Azure services to meet business needs and enhance system functionality. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments, perform root cause analysis, and resolve incidents. Deploy and manage monitoring tools and alerts to ensure system health and performance. Optimize cloud environments for performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Collaborate with internal teams to support application development and cloud integration. Stay current with Azure trends and recommend new tools and services. Implement and maintain security and compliance standards (e.g., Azure Policy, Blueprints). Automate testing and provisioning using scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash). Design hybrid and multi-cloud solutions ensuring interoperability and data flow. Participate in on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, operations, or administration (Azure required). Strong expertise in Azure infrastructure and services (VMs, storage, networking, security). Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Experience with cloud governance and compliance (Azure Policy, Blueprints). Solid understanding of networking concepts and cloud architecture patterns. Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and DevOps practices. Experience with Active Directory, DNS, IPAM, and hybrid cloud environments. Proficiency in Azure AD, RBAC, and PIM.

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert). Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or other DaaS platforms. Knowledge of Azure cost management and optimization tools. Hands-on experience with Azure Front Door, private/service endpoints, and firewalls. Familiarity with NSX-T, certificate management, and advanced networking (e.g., ExpressRoute). Experience with disaster recovery planning using Azure Site Recovery. Working knowledge of agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines). Understanding of cloud security architecture and risk mitigation strategies.
