The Vice President of Enterprise Architecture will be responsible for directing and executing the strategy and operations of the organization of Enterprise Software Architects for Comcast Business. The role will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives. The Vice President will lead contract negotiations for IT software and hardware supporting back-office operations, ensuring strategic alignment and cost efficiency. It oversees the comprehensive budget for the architecture organization, driving financial stewardship and operational excellence. The position is also responsible for monitoring emerging technologies and evolving industry practices to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage. In addition, it provides mentorship and leadership to senior technical staff, including directors and principal architects, fostering a high-performance culture. The role plays a critical part in identifying complex issues and driving them to resolution with a focus on long-term impact. This role is responsible for managing the evolution of the enterprise-wide strategic architecture roadmap, or the BIT “Northstar”, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and enterprise capabilities. The Vice President will provide strategic architecture guidance across integration-related activities, helping to shape scalable, secure, and interoperable systems. A key focus will be helping to facilitate the adoption and integration of “A.I. Everywhere” across the Comcast Business ecosystem; this includes embedding AI into customer-facing platforms, internal operations & decision-making systems & processes. Job Description Core Responsibilities Interfaces with the Executive Leadership team, CIO, and other functional areas to ensure goals of the overall organization are met. Ensures solutions are well-engineered, operable, maintainable and delivered on schedule. Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture. Mentors team members in relevant technologies and implementation architecture. Develops, documents and ensures compliance with Comcast & Software Architecture best practices. Gathers and understands client needs, finding key areas where technology leverage is possible to improve business processes; defines architectural approaches and develops technology proofs. Communicates technology direction. Leads the development and continuous refinement of the enterprise-wide architecture roadmap or the BIT Northstar, in alignment with business strategy and technology advancements. Provides enterprise-wide architectural direction and governance for integration strategies, ensuring alignment with data, API, and system interoperability frameworks. Champions and orchestrates the “A.I. Everywhere” initiative, partnering with key stakeholders to embed artificial intelligence into core platforms, workflows and customer experiences. Contributes to, and supports, efforts to further build intellectual property via patents. Develops, tracks, and controls department budget. Provides inclusive leadership and mentorship across Comcast Business IT. Overseeing all functions and projects to ensure performance standards are conducive to company standards and all goals and objectives are met in a timely and organized fashion. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

10+ years of enterprise-wide architecture experience strongly preferred. Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills. End-to-end experience in solutioning integration requirements between multiple applications for large initiatives. Demonstrated leadership via collaboration and partnership, providing visibility to emerging business trends, proactive identification of growth opportunities, and ensuring plan execution through cross-functional alignment. Clear critical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent judgment and a strong ability to communicate. Relentlessly solutions-oriented and flexible, with the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of our growing organization. Proven experience leading large-scale architecture transformations. Deep knowledge of cloud, API, data and integration architectures. Experience with AI/ML technologies and enterprise applications.
