As part of a market leading, US based, globalmulti-sites engineering and manufacturing company, the Director,ERP Systems will work in an international and multiculturalenvironment and will play a key role in the company’s digitaltransformation. The position is based out of our Pawcatuck, CTlocation and will: Contribute to the harmonization of the Businessprocesses across the whole organization Support and optimizeintegrations (in/out) between ERP Systems and Salesforce to createprocess efficiencies and feed Business Insights Challenge currentsystems setup, customization and interfaces against new featuresoffered by new versions and Company business objectives Lead theimplementation and upgrades for Epicor Kinetic with neworganizational processes with alignment to recently completedmanufacturing process Global Design Evaluate and recommend changesto current and future systems requirements to meet organizationalneeds and business targets. Determine project scope, setsdeadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors progress for theERP and Corporate systems. Manage team, based in multiplelocations/geographic zones in the day-to-day performance of theirjobs Manage external partners to deliver implementation programgoals and facilitate best practice conversations with key businessusers and stakeholders Ensure that project/departmentmilestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets EssentialResponsibilities Manages the ERP applications/Corporate Systems forspecified client departments and acts as the key technical liaisonbetween computer systems users, vendors and Information ServicesActs as primary contact for all application systems problems.
Analyzes and documents problem, recommends solution, initiatescorrective actions. Follows up on problem resolution and Informsclients of status utilizing the service/help desk functionalityServes as the information resource for client users, includingdetermination of the most appropriate data source, providing orarranging application-based report writing, or educating users toretrieve the information themselves Coordinates with in-housedevelopments and third-party development partners and integratorsFormulates system scope and design objectives through research andfact-finding to configure vendor-maintained systems or develop andmodify in-house systems. Prepares detailed specifications fromwhich vendor systems are configured and implemented. Meets withbusiness stakeholders to continually improve the ERP and Corporatesystems. Creates special data analysis requirements from managementMaintains overall systems processes and support continual businessprocess improvements. Helps developing/maintain data exchange orinterfaces between ERP and other systems (CAD, PLM, CRM/Salesforce,Financial Consolidation) Coordinates version upgrade of CAD systemswith respective Engineering Departments. Provides proactive supportfor ERP systems and related projects Ensures end users are gettingproper support and training on the system Ensures systemdocumentation is maintained and available Skills Required 7 yearsof managing ERP systems in a Manufacturing environment ExperienceOrder to Cash, Procure to Pay functionality and Manufacturingprocesses (Shop Orders, Make to Order, Engineering to Order,Project Manufacturing). Good knowledge of Costing (StandardCosting, Weighted Average) and Accounting (Cost of Goods sold,Inventory Cost, Financial Statements) Experience leading Epicorupgrade project (preferably to Kinetic) and data migrationexperience that includes architecting historical archiverepositories Fair knowledge of PLM and CAD systems (Pro.file,Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, ePlan) Experience with end-to-endbusiness process optimization. Ability to interact with businessrequirements and convert them to systems solutions Ability toperform data analysis and enable business decisions Workingknowledge of SQL Excellent communication skills (verbal andwritten) at all levels in an organization Ability to work in amulti-systems / multi-locations / multi-companies andgeographically diverse environment Qualifications RequiredBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Technology or relatedfield Analytical skills and business process analysis Motivate andlead the team members to meet the project objectives and manage anyconflicts.
