Job Description
The purpose of this position is to plan and perform workrequiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation,organization, and execution of project managementassignments. This role has the responsibility to performthe essential job duties and functions as listed below withthe overall objective of managing and/or coordinatingproject activities that are in compliance with the contractand ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluorprofitability of the completed project. Performing assignedgeneral duties of limited scope and level of responsibility,this position is well suited to develop broader projectmanagement knowledge as well as industry specificexperience.
- Perform basic project engineering functions involvingmonitoring of progress, preparation of procedures,documentation of communications and meetings, andidentification/evaluation of project issues and problems
- Support efforts by technical disciplines, vendors andthird-party design firms and other outside entities toensure integrated and complete designs meet projectrequirements and contractual obligations
- Work closely with third-party design firms and otheroutside entities as it relates to Configuration Management,with focus on driving Fluor processes and proceduresrequirements, as well as meeting the needs of the E/P/Ctools used on the project
- Support creation and coordination of overall project plansand schedules, and monitoring activities, progress, andmilestones against the plans
- Embrace and digest NQA-1 and other nuclear industrystandards, and project established procedures andprocesses, through provided training and mentoring
- Support the preparation, delivery and coordination ofproject deliverables, design documents, and bid packagesSupport project quality audits
- Other duties as assigned
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
