Anticipated SalaryRange:
$137,510.00 – $190,000.00. The salary range for this role isintended as a good faith estimate based on the role’s location,expectations, and responsibilities. Job DescriptionEnlighten is looking for a Kubernetes Platform Engineer with astrong background in Cloud technologies (AWS), proficiency in Goprogramming, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes. In this role,you will play a key part in advancing innovative technologysolutions. We are looking for someone who can work independently,swiftly addressing and resolving issues while aligning with broaderstrategic objectives. Work is performed in a hybrid role. LI-DS1Mid-Senior Level Essential Job Responsibilities The Control Planeteam is responsible for the platform that other teams deploy theirservices to and delivering a solid product to our customers You’llalso get to work with engineers from other teams to build newfeatures and capabilities Implement platform services in KubernetesDiscuss ideas and collaborate on solutions Debug and troubleshootcritical technical issues Mentor new team members, both junior andsenior Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes Workwith a distributed team of experienced engineers Collaborate withother engineering, QA and documentation teams to execute on productdeliverables Other duties as assigned
Minimum QualificationsSecurity Clearance:
A U.S. Government Secret level clearance ishighly desired, but not required to start. Will be processed for aSecret clearance if candidate does not possess one; U.S.Citizenship required. 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors inrelated field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in relatedfield; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate inrelated field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 yearsrelevant experience. Professional and in-depth experience with Go,with strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills Theideal candidate is a strong systems integrator with an eye foropportunity to enhance, optimize, or increase robustness of anexisting code base Deep understanding of Kubernetes and itsecosystem (i.e service meshes, scalability, volume management,etc.) Experience with working in a Kubernetes based environmentExperience with developing and maintaining APIs The candidateshould have experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)and be able to leverage modern tools to define, build and managevirtual infrastructure in the cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) Have asolid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security,applications and proficiency in scripting. Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills. Must be able to work in a hybridenvironment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at ourColumbia, MD office. However, flexibility is essential toaccommodate any changes in the schedule. Preferred RequirementsExperience with Kubernetes Operators/Controllers development Deepunderstanding of distributed systems and communication betweenservices Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab-CI)Understanding of agile software development methodologies and useof standard software development tool suites. (e.g., Youtrack,Gitlab, Nexus etc. DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may berequired in this position as directed by the customer.
