Anticipated SalaryRange:

$107,957.00 – $155,000.00. The salary range for this role isintended as a good faith estimate based on the role’s location,expectations, and responsibilities. Job DescriptionEnlighten is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer with experiencein Cloud technology (AWS), programming skills in languages likePython or Go, and a strong Linux foundation. Will significantlycontribute to the development of custom software components andintegration of open-source code to address complex problems throughthe use of cutting edge Big Data / Cloud technology. As a result,the candidate will be expected to work autonomously identifying andsolving problems quickly while working toward broader strategicgoals set by Architects on the team. Work is performed in a hybridrole with a great team of other strong engineers. LI-DW2 Mid-SeniorLevel Essential Job Responsibilities The ideal candidate is astrong systems integrator with an eye for opportunity to enhance,optimize, or increase robustness of an existing code base. Thecandidate should have experience with infrastructure as code and beable to leverage modern tools to define, build and manage virtualinfrastructure in the cloud. Design and implement core architectureand capabilities for software from prototype to operationalapplications. Other duties as assigned. Minimum QualificationsSecurity Clearance – A current Secret U.S. Government Securityclearance is required; U.S. citizenship required. 5 years ofexperience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Pythonor Go) with Bachelors in related field; OR 3 years relevantexperience with Masters in related field; OR High School Diploma orequivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Must have experiencedeveloping and deploying infrastructure in AWS. Experience withKubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes) Have a solidunderstanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security,applications and proficiency in shell scripting (Shell/Bash).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify andtroubleshoot complex issues Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills. Must be able to work in a hybrid environment,spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MDoffice. However, flexibility is essential to accommodate anychanges in the schedule. Preferred Requirements Prior experience orfamiliarity with DISA’s Big Data Platform or other Big Data systems(e.g. Cloudera’s Distribution of Hadoop, Hortonworks Data Platform,MapR, etc) is a plus. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g.

Gitlab-CI, Travis-CI, Jenkins, etc.) Understanding of agilesoftware development methodologies and use of standard softwaredevelopment tool suites.
