Anticipated SalaryRange:

$107,957.00 – $155,000.00. The salary range for this role isintended as a good faith estimate based on the role’s location,expectations, and responsibilities. Job DescriptionEnlighten is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer with experiencein Cloud technology (AWS), programming skills in languages likePython or Go, and a strong Linux foundation. Will significantlycontribute to the development of custom software components andintegration of open-source code to address complex problems throughthe use of cutting edge Big Data / Cloud technology. As a result,the candidate will be expected to work autonomously identifying andsolving problems quickly while working toward broader strategicgoals set by Architects on the team. Work is performed in a hybridrole with a great team of other strong engineers. LI-DW2 Mid-SeniorLevel Essential Job Responsibilities The ideal candidate is astrong systems integrator with an eye for opportunity to enhance,optimize, or increase robustness of an existing code base. Thecandidate should have experience with infrastructure as code and beable to leverage modern tools to define, build and manage virtualinfrastructure in the cloud. Design and implement core architectureand capabilities for software from prototype to operationalapplications. Other duties as assigned. Minimum QualificationsSecurity Clearance – A current U.S. Government Security clearanceis not required on day 1, but will be processed for a Secret levelclearance; U.S. citizenship required. 5 years of experience inPlatform Engineering or Software Development (Python or Go) withBachelors in related field; OR 3 years relevant experience withMasters in related field; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and9 years relevant experience. Must have experience developing anddeploying infrastructure in AWS. Experience with Kubernetes (orvendor flavor of Kubernetes) Have a solid understanding of Linuxsystems, hosts, networks, security, applications and proficiency inshell scripting (Shell/Bash). Excellent problem-solving skills andthe ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues Excellentoral and written communication skills. Must be able to work in ahybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at ourColumbia, MD office. However, flexibility is essential toaccommodate any changes in the schedule. Preferred RequirementsPrior experience or familiarity with DISA’s Big Data Platform orother Big Data systems (e.g. Cloudera’s Distribution of Hadoop,Hortonworks Data Platform, MapR, etc) is a plus. Experience withCI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab-CI, Travis-CI, Jenkins, etc.)Understanding of agile software development methodologies and useof standard software development tool suites.
