Job Description:

Analyze user’srequirements, concept of operations documents, and high levelsystem architectures to develop system requirements specifications.

Analyzes system requirements and leads design and developmentactivities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advisesalternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Providestechnical leadership for the integration of requirements, design,and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems intoongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Developssystem Architecture and system design documentation. Guides systemdevelopment and implementation planning through assessment orpreparation of system engineering management plans and systemintegration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regardingSystems Engineering technical considerations and for associatedproblems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for thetechnical integrity of work performed and deliverables associatedwith the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicateswith other program personnel, government overseers, and seniorexecutives. The Level 0 Systems Engineer shall possess the followingcapabilities: Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensurethe delivery of production systems that are compatible with thedefined system architecture(s

• Department of Defense ArchitectureFramework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.

Contribute to the development of sections of systemsengineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, InitialCapabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and InterfaceControl Documents Assist with the development of system requirements, functionalrequirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware,software, facility, and personnel components Coordinate the resolution of action items from ConfigurationControl Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, andtest reviews that require cross-disciplinecoordination

Qualifications:

No demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science,Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management,or related discipline from an accredited college or university isrequired. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may besubstituted for a bachelor’s degree.
