AWS Cloud Engineer Job Summary:

The company is currently looking to hire an AWS Cloud Engineerwithin our Domestic Payables division. This position falls underour Payables line of business and is a remote based position. Weare seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Engineerwho has expertise in the strategy, design, development andimplementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The idealcandidate will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies,platforms, and applications and an ability to customize them tohelp our business become more secure and efficient. Extensiveknowledge of cloud maintenance, experience in managing staff, andadvanced industry knowledge are essential to keep us on the cuttingedge. The Cloud Engineer will have an immediate impact on theday-to-day efficiency of IT operations and an ongoing impact ongrowth. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be expected to work in a remoteenvironment. The company will set you up for success by providing:

AWS Cloud Engineer Responsibilities:

Working in tandem with ourengineering team to identify and implement the most optimalcloud-based solutions for the company. Defining and document best practices and strategies regardingapplication deployment and infrastructure maintenance. Providing guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to developerteams to build their cloud competencies. Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaininghigh standards for code quality and thoughtful design. Managing cloud environments in accordance with company securityguidelines. Developing and implement technical efforts to design, build, anddeploy AWS applications, including large-scale data processing,computationally intensive statistical modelling, and advancedanalytics. Participating in all aspects of the software development lifecyclefor AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development,testing, and quality assurance. Troubleshooting incidents, identify root causes, fix and documentproblems, and implement preventive measures. Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-basedinitiatives, providing associated training when necessary. Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills, with an abilityto see and solve issues before they affect businessproductivity.

AWS Cloud Engineer Qualifications:

Three or more years ofexperience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementingcloud solutions on AWS platforms. Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of awell-architected framework. Experience in several of the following areas: databasearchitecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machinelearning, advanced analytics. Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ofbusiness analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matterexperts. Knowledge and understanding of finance and accountancy practices, aparticular focus on rebates would be hugely advantageous. Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in computer science, informationtechnology, or mathematics. Knowledge of web services, API, REST, RPC, Aurora, NodeJS,JavaScript, Asynchronous development model using Promises, PrimeNG,Angular Framework and Excel generator. AWS certifications.
