As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will serve as the visionary architect of our sophisticated technical frameworks. Your role is critical, ensuring the flawless integration, validation, and optimization of complex systems from concept to completion. You will spearhead efforts to harmonize system components, deftly balancing cost, risk, and supportability to deliver exceptional solutions. Your expertise will translate product requirements into cohesive systems solutions that meet technical, schedule, and budgetary demands. Armed with a robust set of analytical tools, you’ll perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and map requirements to solutions, transforming visionary ideas into concrete software innovations. Duties include but are not limited to:

System Design & Integration:

Lead the deployment of products and engineering solutions that transform manual business processes into efficient, automated systems Lead the design, integration, and validation of complex systems, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations. Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Technical Leadership:

Serve as the technical lead, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and objectives. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Analysis & Problem Solving:

Conduct in-depth functional, timeline, and trade studies to evaluate system options and make informed decisions. Address unusually complex problems with creative and effective solutions, leveraging independent judgment and expertise.

Program Management:

Collaborate with the project managers to oversee product lifecycle from requirements to implementation, ensuring all phases meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Coordinate internal and external resources, managing stakeholder relationships to facilitate project success.

Innovation & Development:

Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive innovation, improve system capabilities, and enhance decision-making processes. Contribute to the development of groundbreaking principles, theories, and concepts that integrate AI into system solutions. Continuously seek opportunities to implement AI technologies in optimizing system performance and automating processes.

Knowledge:

A body of information needed to perform tasks; May be obtained through education, training or experience. Experience working in a clinical research or healthcare setting. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for scalable and secure data storage and processing Experience with ensuring interoperability between different clinical systems and platforms to facilitate seamless data exchange and collaboration. Extensive knowledge of advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts.

Skills:

The proficiency to perform a certain task. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex challenges. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring and guiding teams. Proficiency in Veeva Systems, particularly Veeva Clinical Operations, for managing clinical trial documents, regulatory compliance, and data. Familiarity with Veeva CRM and other Veeva applications can also be beneficial Proficiency in system design tools and methodologies Proficiency in software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and experience in integrating various systems and applications to streamline clinical operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience (7+ years) in systems engineering, with a track record of leading complex projects. Extensive knowledge of advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex challenges. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring and guiding teams. Proficiency in system design tools and methodologies.
