The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing and improving our IT systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our organization while adhering to industry standards and regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of network infrastructure, cloud architecture, and security protocols, as well as the ability to conduct thorough vulnerability assessments. Responsibilities Analyze current IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with Department of Defense and Department of Army. Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools such as Nmap to identify potential security risks. Develop and maintain documentation related to system architecture, processes, and procedures. Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and reliability. Provide support for network infrastructure issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise. Assess proposed upgrades to new systems architectures, processes, or procedures for compliance and functionality. Verify and Validate system modifications, improvements, or new systems for operation. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend enhancements. Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in systems analysis or a similar role within IT. Strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles and practices. Familiarity with security protocols including SSL and vulnerability assessment methodologies. Proven understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVMs) and Security Content Automation Protocols (SCAPs). Experience conducting information system security assessments and validations using a variety of testing methods to assess the system’s security posture using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Scap Compliance Checker (SCC). Experience working with high availability systems is a plus. Understanding of network infrastructure concepts and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
