This position will belocated in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications(C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is avital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretaryof defense, and combatant commanders to systematically planballistic missile defense operations. This position fulfills aCyber Engineering technical role in support of the C2BMC program.
The selected candidate will develop and test patches to fixSoftware, Hardware, and Firmware vulnerabilities, concentrating onvulnerability management.
Essential Functions:
Install and configure Linux from the OS up to the applicationlevel. Documentation and verification of all installation andconfiguration steps for the labs. Develop test plans/procedures for software integration and unittests. Work with software developers and/or vendors to diagnose andidentify the root cause of problems found during systemintegration. Submit problem reports for errors found per Agile processes andcoordinate daily integration activities. Responsible for developing and implementing Cyber Releases inthe National Team labs, C2BMC Test Facility, andOperations. Installing and unit testing Cyber Products. Provide redlines to engineers and feedback to CyberLeadership. Documenting lessons learned, best security engineeringpractices, and industry standards.
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start. Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, orMathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years ofexperience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience, or 9 years ofrelated work experience in lieu of a degree may beconsidered. DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher is required tostart. Experience configuring and patching Linux systems with Red HatSatellite. Hands-on experience with scripting, installing, testing patcheson Linux hosts, and writing and deploying Ansibleplaybooks. Knowledge of executing Security Hardening on LINUX OperatingSystems based on approved DISA STIGs. Technical troubleshooting of COTS software applications, dataanalytics of system vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Executing Agile tasks throughout a System DevelopmentLifecycle. Familiarity with Scripting Windows Group Policy Objects(GPOs). Hands-on experience with industry-standard
Cybersecuritytools:
Security Content Automation Protocol ( SCAP ), NESSUS, AssuredCompliance Assessment Solution ( ACAS ). Demonstrated experience analyzing and implementing
NIST SP800-53
Security Controls.
