Secmation is looking for experienced Principal CybersecuritySoftware Development Engineers who will be an instrumental part ofour leadership team. At Secmation you will design, develop,implement and test security solutions for embedded devices andDefense applications; not manage IT security systems.

In thishands-on software development and leadership role, you will workwith the Secmation management team, internal development teams,subcontractors, and customers to translate advanced technicalconcepts into reality. While familiar with cybersecuritypolicies/processes, your specialty is developing software productsfor cybersecurity of embedded systems from concept throughdelivery. You will be involved in applications includingdevelopment of cybersecurity engineering tools, advancedsimulation, self-driving vehicles, and protection of advanced AI/MLsoftware. Your knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and theirvulnerabilities enables you to develop the secure software neededto protect systems from modern threats.

A successful PrincipalCybersecurity Software Development Engineer will work closely withDoD customers to define new programs and ensure technical executionof existing programs. This is a full-time hybrid work-from-homeposition located in DC Metro area, Raleigh, NC, or Huntsville, AL.Workdays are Monday through Friday (workdays and hours may varybased on project needs).Who We AreSecmation is not an IT company.

To find out moreabout Secmation, visit .Minimum Qualifications Current DoD Security Clearance Required (any level) BS or higher, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,Computer Science or similar. 10+ years of progressive work experience in embedded softwaredevelopment in systems programming, design, coding, debugging,testing and troubleshooting targeting ARM or similar architecturesand various platforms. 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity focused products. Software/security architect level experience leading systemdesign and development in embedded projects based on C/C++ usingReal Time Operating Systems (RTOS). Strong C/C++ programming skills with design and implementationof security controls across different development platforms. Experience serving in a hands-on technical leadership role oncontracts with DoD laboratories/organizations (e.g. Air ForceResearch Laboratory, Office of Naval Research, Army FuturesCommand). Expert level knowledge in cybersecurity technologies supportedby successful program outcomes. Ability to lead geographically distributed technical teams in afast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Comfortablepresenting complex technical topics to customers, presenting atconferences, and developing technical documentation.
