Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Cybersecrity Engineer to join our team managing cybersecuirty risk management for Aviation programs and products and providing cybersecurity reporting to Senior Leadership and the Organizational ISSM . This position supports PEO Aviation, PM Aviation Mission Systems and Architecture (AMSA).
Responsibilities:
This position requires a highly motivated individual with extensive knowledge of Department of Defense Cybersecurity and both management and technical experience with the development, implementation, and evaluation of information system security practices. Manage cybersecurity compliance for all PM AMSA programs.
Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity policies and standards to include but not limited to: DoDI 5000 Defense Acquisition, DoDI 8500 Cybersecurity, DoDI 8510 Risk Management Framework (RMF), CNSSI 1253 Security Categorization, NIST SP 800-53r5 Security and Privacy Controls, and AR-25 Army Cybersecurity
Support AMSA’s risk management activities, to include help assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout AMSA programs’ product lifecycle; and perform continuous monitoring of compliance controls.
Prior experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) application as prescribed by DoD 8510
Be responsible for the cybersecurity certification and accreditation of all accredited program systems and software, including leading and/or supporting cybersecurity testing as required.
Provide technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives to the following: complex security problems; cybersecurity engineering; and cybersecurity strategies, testing, and technical components.
Perform Security Control Assessor-Organization (SCA-O) internal security validation audits for systems seeking a security authorization decision.
Represent AMSA in various information security-related working and advisory groups.
Integrate/Develop new techniques to improve Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability for networks/systems operating at various classification levels.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in IT, Cybersecurity or related field
10+ years’ experience with cybersecurity, IT, software development and/or systems engineering programs.
Current
DOD 8570.01
baseline certification commensurate with IAM Level 2.
Qualify to be appointed O-ISSM by the organizational Authorizing Official (AO) or Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR) A current DoD Secret security clearance is required.
