Cybersecurity CompTIA Security+ 2 years Full Job Description Position Summary We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team and help protect critical systems and data across the organization. This is a fully on-site role supporting day-to-day security operations and contributing to long-term risk management strategies. You’ll be part of a growing team under new leadership, offering the opportunity to help shape security practices from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Monitor, evaluate, and respond to security events and vulnerabilities across networks and systems. Perform risk assessments and support compliance with internal and external security standards. Assist in the configuration and management of firewalls, endpoint security, and intrusion detection systems. Support encryption and data protection efforts, including access control and secure file transfer protocols. Help enforce policies and controls related to information security and acceptable use. Conduct vulnerability scans and help remediate risks in coordination with IT staff. Assist in internal audits and preparation for third-party security assessments. Document processes, procedures, and security incidents accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field with a focus or minor in cybersecurity — OR at least 2 years of full-time experience in cybersecurity roles — OR current certifications such as CompTIA Security+ , CISSP , or equivalent Internship or professional experience in IT or security, with demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity principles Understanding of core security concepts: risk management, vulnerability management, compliance, encryption, firewall configuration, and secure systems administration Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to dig into security issues, not just general IT tasks Nice to
Have:
