Description SAIC has an immediate opening for a Cloud Team Manager to oversee a team of Azure administrators who operate, maintain, and secure an Azure IaaS environment in support of the

USACE OCIO/G6

environment, IAW DoD, Army, and

USACE O-CIO/G-6

policies and procedures. The Cloud Team Manager will lead a team of Azure administrators responsible for the daily operations, maintenance and security of Azure infrastructure and act as the touchpoint for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance and security of Azure infrastructure and act as the touchpoint for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of Azure services for an IT enterprise with a large user base. The Cloud Team Manager will also provide direction and organization advice for cloud technology for cloud technology adoption, help in the evaluation process of cloud providers, and engineer organization, integration, security, automation, monitoring, and interoperability design of on-prem and cloud infrastructure. This people manager will have demonstrated hands-on experience with applicable tools, technologies, and a commitment to excellence in IT service delivery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and mentor a team of Azure cloud administrators and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Develop and implement the cloud strategy to meet organizational goals and objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Oversee the design, deployment, and management of Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
Lead cloud projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and closing, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure that cloud infrastructure adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements, implementing best practices for security and compliance.
Work closely with other IT teams and government service owners to understand their needs and provide cloud-based solutions.
Ensure that service level agreements and metrics are met.

Qualifications Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and nine (9) years of experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree.

Required Skills:

Five (5)+ years of experience leading a technical team that manages, patches, secures, and updates Azure environments in support of vulnerability management activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a high-performance environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with directory services and authentication technologies (Active Directory/LDAP, etc.) for Windows and Linux in an Azure IaaS environment.
Hands-on experience with Ansible administration (playbook design, testing, and deployment) for on-prem and Azure environments running Windows and Linux OSs.
Demonstrated proficiency in networking (VPNs, VPCs, DNS, DHCP, Load Balancing, and firewalls) concepts, toolsets, configurations, and best practices.
Demonstrated understanding of network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (RDP, SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec).
Experience with DNS security measures, including monitoring and mitigating threats.
Basic familiarity with OS & scripting languages and shells (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).

Required Certifications:

Current Security +CE (or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification

IAW 8750/8140

requirements) prior to start date.
Current, relevant Azure certification (Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent.

Required Clearance:

An Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to employment; a Secret Clearance is required to maintain employment.

Target salary range:

$120,001 – $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
