Cloud Security Engineer
Full-Time / Remote
Monday-Friday / 8:00am-5:00pm RSAE Labs Inc. is seeking Cloud Security Engineers to join our Team in developing the most advanced IOT protocol in history. This position is hybrid with paid travel for orientation and periodic visits to our headquarters in Panama City, Florida. US citizens or permanent residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Cloud and server management: Deploy, manage, test, and support multiple AWS cloud and server deployments.
  • Design and implement cloud security architectures: Develop and maintain secure cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Security automation: Automate security tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Security assessments and audits: Conduct regular security assessments and audits of AWS cloud deployments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry and DoD standards (e.g., RMF, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF, etc).
  • Threat modeling and mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats through threat modeling and risk assessments.
  • Security monitoring and incident response: Implement and manage security monitoring tools and processes to detect and respond to security incidents effectively.
  • Vulnerability management: Develop and implement a vulnerability management program to identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud environments.
  • Collaboration and knowledge sharing: Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay current: Continuously research and stay informed about emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience: 3+ years of experience in a Cloud Security Engineer role or a similar position with a strong focus on cloud security.
  • Cloud expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS cloud and their security services.
  • Scripting and automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks.
  • DevSecOps mindset: Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Security skills: Strong understanding of security concepts, best practices, and industry standards related to cloud security.
  • Technical proficiency: Experience with security tools and technologies such as encryption algorithms, protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners.
  • Strong communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve security issues effectively.

    Certifications:

    Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security – Specialty) is a plus. Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for this position.
