Scope of Work The Data Security Specialist is Responsible for the analysis, planning, design, enforcement and audit of security policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files, and data elements. Maintains knowledge of changing technologies in identity governance and access management and provides recommendations for adaptation of new technologies or policies. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion related to the Departments Identity Administration and Governance (IAG) system, SailPoint IdentityIQ. Provides management with risk assessments to advise them of critical issues that may affect products, customer, or corporate security objectives. Provides the IAG Project team with analytical skills and documentation to support both business and functional requirements, will work in collaboration with the sponsors and project leads to ensure a successful Deployment and Operation and Maintenance of the SailPoint IdentityIQ product. Evaluates and recommends security products, services and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Provides education on security products, policies, and practices within the identity governance and access management arena. Works on multiple projects as a team member and leads the data-related security components. Develops security solutions for medium to highly complex assignments. May coach more junior technical staff. Focus on security policies, procedures, and deployment of applications which safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files, and data elements within the Department. Provide direction on SailPoint IdentityIQ development and implementation methodology is preferred. Research and understand the FDOT Identity Administration and Governance Platform (SailPoint IdentityIQ). Gather and document business and technical requirements, which lead to improved Security policies, procedures, and products within the Department. Collaborate with the technical and functional teams to develop technical specifications and other documents in support of the Identity Administration and Governance solution and other Security related products. Coordinate and oversee the User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing of Security related products. Track bugs and backlog items using Microsoft DevOps. Perform reviews of deliverables for compliance with Department Standards and Security Protocol. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields or equivalent work experience. Experience Typically has 4 to 6 years of IT work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, applications development, database design and administration; one to two years of experience with information security. Requires knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across all existing computer platforms. Preference will be given to candidates with resumes reflecting extensive experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ version 8.1, product build/deployment, and code migration. Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ version 8.1. Knowledge of code migration for legacy system to commercial off the shelf products. Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft DevOps. Skilled in business and data analysis, product research, as-is and to-be analysis, process modeling, with a clear understand of Security Protocols for the Department. Ability to analyze, document and present proposals for new or changes to the Departments security products, systems, services and/or procedures to improve productivity and effectiveness. Ability to oversee security awareness programs and provide education on security products, policies, and practices. Ability to expertly facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders. Skilled in IT infrastructure and software development methodologies and techniques, as well as the security protocols that must be enforced. Ability to display professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff Ability to exhibit creativity and resourcefulness at problem-solving while collaborating and working effectively with others across varied disciplines.
