years PowerShell Full Job Description Ellington Solutions is seeking out qualified candidates that will: Develop, evaluate and manage systems security across the enterprise. Participate in duties such as account management, password auditing, network based and Web application-based vulnerability scanning, virus management and intrusion detection. Possess technical expertise in systems administration and security tools, combined with the knowledge of security practices and procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures (e.g., user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures and use of firewalls and encryption routines). Prepare status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures. Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls. Be involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Provide direct support to the business and IT staff for systems security related issues. Educate users on systems security standards and procedures. Possess broad technical knowledge of network operating systems (e.g., UNIX, NT).
Requirements:
The qualified candidate will have: U.S. Citizenship (Required) Four (4) years of experience in the work related to the position (Required) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Information Security, or another related field; or equivalent work experience. Security controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT resources. Computing technologies such as Windows, Windows Server, and TCP/IP. Vulnerability management tools and security standards (NIST, CIS Critical Security Controls, Florida Cybersecurity Standards). Microsoft SCCM, Group Policy, PowerShell, and registry security settings. Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools; SPLUNK preferred but not required. Malwarebytes, Windows Defender, and other vulnerability scanning tools. Assess, analyze, and document compliance with security standards. Detect and resolve software/hardware security issues. Analyze complex system architectures for security risks. Effectively communicate technical concepts to various audiences, including non-technical staff. Solve problems independently and collaboratively with sound judgment. Assess risk and provide recommendations to mitigate security threats.
