Contract Position Summary:

This role supports the deployment and maturation of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities, particularly around the implementation of a Cloud-Native Application Protection (CNAP) solution called WIZ. The primary goal is to elevate the DLP maturity level and build a strong foundation for long-term ownership by an internal engineer.

Responsibilities:

Drive the engineering and deployment of WIZ, a CNAP technology that scans all cloud platforms for vulnerabilities across code and infrastructure. Enhance and mature the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program. Build and tune data classifiers and DLP rules across cloud and endpoint environments.

Collaborate with operational teams to:

Understand the DLP build process. Develop a response framework for DLP-related events. Support the development of data protection triage workflows and incident response.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with DLP engineering. Background in building and tuning DLP rules (experience with both endpoint and cloud DLP is valuable). Familiarity with data classification tools and frameworks. Experience building and supporting operational DLP incident response processes.

Nice-to-Have:

Prior experience with WIZ or similar CNAP tools. Exposure to broader Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) or Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) concepts.

Contingent Worker Type:

Additional Responsibilities:

Creating DLP rules/policies. Developing REGEX for DLP Data Identifiers. Configuring automated DLP response rules using native DLP solutions or SOAR. Building manual DLP response procedures. Familiar with large enterprise DLP/Data Protection solutions including, but not limited to DLP for endpoints, email, cloud, data at rest, and data in motion. Familiar with cloud tenant (AWS, Azure, etc.) security and configurations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent. Seven plus years of experience in enterprise-scale information security engineering. Three plus years of experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business, and healthcare experience. Experience with IT operations, automation of security processes, coding and scripting languages, and documenting security processes. Expert understanding of regulatory and compliance mandates, including HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley. Advanced knowledge of Security Engineering Principles, including risk management, resilience, vulnerability management, Information Security, NIST, MITRE ATT@CK, etc. Proven Cloud Security experience. Excellent analytical skills, verbal and written communications, and ability to think quickly under complex conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in two or more of the following areas: Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), HealthCare Information Security & Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – Engineering (ISSEP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), SANS GIAC, or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Four plus years as a System Administrator or in IT Operations. Four plus years in risk management or GRC experience in the healthcare/medical environment. Five plus years’ experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business, and healthcare experience.
