Job Description Focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect an organization’s digital assets, while safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with stringent security standards in support of Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) program under U.S. Army

PEO STRI.

Maintain security documentation, including Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, in line with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements for V2X program management information system (MIS) and U.S. Army Training devices. Identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement strategies to address them. Perform in-depth system hardening and vulnerability assessments to protect defense networks. Conduct regular assessments using approved endpoint security tools and implement industry recognized security baseline guidance. Lead efforts to detect, respond to, and recover from security breaches, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Education/Experience Master of Science (MS) in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance; Advanced degree(s) preferred.

(1+MA/MS or 2+BA/BS) or (4+AA/AAS) or (6+No Degree)

Certifications:

8140/8570 DoD Certification; Foundation-Intermediate / Information Assurance Technician (IAT-II/III) Required Knowledge Familiar with all DoD Cybersecurity guidance, NIST Special Publications, and U.S. Army Information Technology / Cybersecurity Regulations. Leads the activities to comply with the RMF process from the

DODI 8500

series Information Assurance to Cybersecurity Instructions and lead patches and operating system updates. Leads the implementation of security requirements.

Creates / Reviews

RMF documentation. Creates Security Test and Evaluation plans. Leads Assess and Authorize (A&A) support in the development of security and contingency plans and conduct complex risk and vulnerability assessments. Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps. Develops and completes system security plans and contingency plans. Recommends system enhancements to improve security deficiencies. Develops, tests and integrates computer and network security tools Secures system configurations and installs security tools, scans systems in order to determine compliancy and report results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration. Leads security program audits and develops solutions to lessen identified risks. Performs vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies. Develop strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements. Provides information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements. Preferred Requirements Experience working with DoD / U.S.

Army / Federal

Government Experience with software/tools: Rapid 7, ACAS / Nessus, Sonar Qube, Burp Suite, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), STIG Viewer Clearance Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Clearance Travel N/A Physical Requirements Light Work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires a exertion of forces greater that that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
