Job Description

Duration:

18+ month contract (W2). Potential to convert full-time based on performance and budget.

CISSP or similar Cybersecurity-focused certifications Description TEKsystems is hiring a Cyber Security Engineer to focus on a Web/Edge Security effort for one of our clients. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience with the following

  • Akamai Kona Site Defender (WAF), website Vulnerability Management, and Network Security engineering skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Cyber Security Engineer will spend approximately 80% of their time tracking malicious web traffic (bad actors, BOTS etc) while consulting with multiple application teams to engineer solutions that will help mitigate unwanted traffic.

oSupport Web & Mobile Development teams and relevant applications that use edge solutions. oUsing Kona Site Defender within the Akamai suite and AWS Web application firewalls to secure websites and APIs.

  • Remaining 20% of their time will be preforming weekly analysis and creating reports of web traffic to identify threats & vulnerabilities then apply skills to developing and implementing high-tech solutions to defend.
  • Research, identify and pro-actively plan against potential threats that could target client’s websites.
  • Work with developers to remediate website vulnerabilities to improve web security.
  • Work with SOC team on security incidents.
  • Evaluate other Web Security Application solutions.
