Professional Development and Growth Your Role:
As a Cybersecurity Manager at Coastal Waste & Recycling, you will lead and oversee all aspects of the organization’s information security program. This individual contributor role is responsible for safeguarding company data, systems, and infrastructure across corporate and field operations. The Cybersecurity Manager will drive compliance, risk mitigation, and cybersecurity initiatives aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards. Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures. Monitor and manage security tools (e.g., EDR, SIEM, MFA, MDM) across all devices and cloud platforms. Lead vulnerability management and coordinate remediation efforts with IT teams and vendors. Manage cybersecurity audits, assessments, and compliance efforts (e.g., PCI, SOX). Own incident response procedures, including detection, escalation, investigation, and resolution. Collaborate with IT, operations, HR, and finance teams to embed security practices across business units. Conduct security awareness training and phishing simulations for employees. Serve as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity matters internally and with third-party partners. Stay current on threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, advising leadership accordingly.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security roles. CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent strongly preferred Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001), and tools. Experience with cloud security (Microsoft 365, Azure), endpoint protection, firewalls, and identity management. Familiarity with compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS or SOX. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize competing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
