Hiring a Director, CISO for a premier Fintech client in St Pete, FL!
Scope of Work:
Will be building infrastructure for the security team; currently a team of 3 security analysts & a lead and will continue to grow in the next 1-2 years. Highly preferred this individual is bilingual in

On-Site in St Pete, FL (relocation assistance available)
Salary:
$160,000-180,000 + Bonus & other incentives
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company’s information security and cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals. Own and manage enterprise-wide data and cybersecurity risks. Establish and maintain security policies, protocols, and incident response plans. Lead security governance, compliance, and audit initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI
DSS, GDPR, GLBA
). Oversee security operations, including threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and incident detection and response. Collaborate cross-functionally with R D, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to embed security by design, and with Internal Audit for periodic operational effectiveness testing. Provide security training and awareness programs across the organization. Evaluate and implement new security tools, technologies, and processes. Manage relationships with external partners, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing security team. Report regularly to the executive team and board on security posture and risks.
Job Requirements:
10 or more years of progressive experience in information security, including 5 or more years in a leadership or CISO role, ideally within fintech or financial services. Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, tools and best practices. Experience with securing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Expertise in data privacy regulations and compliance standards. Proven experience managing security incidents, audits, and third-party risks. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP). Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
