IT Specialist- Firewall, Server & Security Administration

Sanford, Florida (with travel to DeLand District Office, field sites, and maintenance warehouses as needed)

Job Description:

IT Specialists to provide comprehensive IT support services, including but not limited to firewall, server, and security administration. The collective capabilities of the selected candidates will support the following functional areas:

Key Responsibilities:

Firewall Administration:

Manage Fortinet Firewalls
Role and policy updates

Web Filter Administration:

Administer FortiGate for weekly audits, permission updates, software updates, and status monitoring

Server Administration:

Maintain VMware environment
Handle Veeam backup and recovery
Support Dell Compellent / Powerstore multitier storage systems
Conduct quarterly patch management and role provisioning

Security Administration:

Manage RADIUS and Active Directory
Oversee background clearance for State Law Enforcement Radio System
Process security access requests via Atlassian Jira
Maintain

Special Programs Administration:

Support and provide first-level troubleshooting for the following applications/systems:
Activu Video wall control
Road Ranger Mobile App Service patrol dispatch
iVDS Remote camera viewing
SunGuide Advanced Traveler Information System
BlueMac Bluetooth data collection
MIMS Maintenance dispatch & inventory
G.ITS Field device facility management

SCCM / SCOM

Server & workstation infrastructure
SolarWinds Network & infrastructure monitoring
Any third-party or proprietary software deployed after the contract’s start will also fall under scope.
Network Administration (Backup):
Provide basic troubleshooting and task support for Extreme (formerly Brocade) network devices
Coverage primarily required on Fridays, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Workstation Support:

Hardware setup and configuration
End-user support and inventory tracking
Maintain a knowledge base (wiki) for user self-help.
