Job Description
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber-security, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. + 6 years of experience assessing and developing cyber-security solutions and programs across security domains. + 6 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions. + Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
+ MBA or Master’s degree with emphasis on Information Security, Information Technology, or Operations Management. + CISSP or equivalent certification. + Agile certification. + 5 years of experience working with Information Security, infrastructure, software, or platforms, with 2 years of cloud services experience. + 2 years of experience managing projects and customer relationships while working cross-functionally in a large organization. As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats. As a Security Consultant, you could work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You may also test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats, and will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross functional teams. The Mandiant Cyber Program Accelerator (CPA) team helps clients reduce business risk by strengthening their cybersecurity programs. We streamline security efforts, prioritize risk mitigation, and drive continuous improvement across the entire security landscape. This includes robust Application Security (AppSec) and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices. We support clients with incident response recovery, cyber program transformations, and comprehensive security assessments covering infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. As a Delivery Lead, you’ll own a workstream, acting as a trusted advisor and driving client objectives. We’re a team combining cybersecurity expertise, agile principles, and project management to deliver impactful and lasting improvements to our external clients’ security posture. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . + Use cybersecurity technical skills (or prior experience as a DevSecOps engineer or Cybersecurity engineer) to lead engagements as a highly skilled Cyber Security Consultant and Delivery Lead. + Lead teams to achieve measurable security risk reduction in application and cloud environments, leveraging data and security telemetry for informed decision-making. + Advise clients on risk reduction priorities, cybersecurity best practices, and technical debt reduction, advocating automation and secure-by-design principles to reduce remediation lead times. + Perform secure code reviews, identify common vulnerabilities, and provide actionable remediation to development teams, bringing experience with modern development languages (e.g., Python, Java) and associated security tools, and offering strategic feedback on AppSec/DevSecOps maturity.
