This role reports to the Enterprise Messaging Manager. Position Summary Under the direction of the Enterprise Messaging Manager, the Cloud Email Security Analyst is responsible for the daily review and administration of email security solutions. The Cloud Email Security Analyst will review, analyze, report and remediate cloud email security threats, incidents and strategies. This position will work closely with the messaging engineers and information security and monitoring teams to ensure a safe and secure email environment. Key Responsibilities Monitors, reports and responds to email security solutions and incidents
Manages and administers email security measures such as
Email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Spam, Virus and content filtering
URL rewriting and Attachment scanning
Manages and administers all messaging systems with focus on Microsoft Cloud Offerings (Exchange Online, MS Exchange Online Archiving, Exchange Online Protection, Conditional Access Policies, Teams integrations)
Creates and executes solutions implementation plans
Troubleshoots system issues and performs problem analysis to resolution
Documents procedures and standards for varying target audiences
Develops and implements access, monitoring, control and documentation
Provides metrics for service utilization and actionable data
Participates in preparing and testing the disaster recovery plan
Monitors and implements email security measures for inbound, outbound and partner email solutions
Consistently monitors, reports and resolves email security incidents
Performs incident response tasks as needed by customer reports, information security reports and/or email security reports
Provides Proofpoint Email Security Solutions for cloud and on premises
Recommends strategies and approaches for new and developing email security risks
Identifies, tracks and responds to email security threat vectors
Provides 24×7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities
Provides subject matter expertise support to Help Desk and end users
Collaborates and partners with IT groups to promote efficient and secure services
Participates in after hours on call duties
Performs other duties as assigned/required
Comfortable interacting with Firm leaders through presentations or one on one contact Qualifications Skills & Competencies Understanding of the threat landscape as it pertains to email security and hygiene
In depth understanding of email standards, security practices and functional components
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to standards and documentation
The ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for working collaboratively Education & Prior Experience 8 years’ experience engineering in a large messaging system environment with 4 years’ experience with Cloud based messaging solutions
4 years’ experience with supporting a large international email environment
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent experience
Microsoft M365, Proofpoint or other email security related certifications preferred
Previous law firm experience highly desired
Direct experience managing and developing email hygiene solutions, Proofpoint solutions experience a bonus
Critical participation in enterprise sized migration projects
Significant experience implementing email delivery and security platforms including message/spam filtering, transport threats and vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, antivirus and antimalware Technology Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook required
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection
Demonstrated knowledge of email archiving standards and procedures, with focus on Exchange online archiving
Demonstrated knowledge Microsoft Azure based tools
Understanding of DNS solutions such as AWS, and Azure
