Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join AT&T Network team . Although this role is categorized under application security, the primary focus will be on network-side security. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in network security, compliance management, and process development, ensuring efficiency and security across AT&T systems. This person will be working on the 5Gnorthrim project. Continuing building/improving AT&T 5g network.
Key Responsibilities:
Firewall Management:
Manage and optimize Juniper firewall rules and policies, ensuring strong proficiency in TCP/IP and Internet Protocol.
Compliance Oversight:
Ensure adherence to firewall, Internet Protocol, and network security standards.
Process & Documentation Improvement:
Develop MOPS, SOPs, playbooks, and structured task lists to enhance team processes.
Automation & Monitoring Tools:
Utilize Firewall Analyzer for automation and AlgoSec & JSA for monitoring and refining overly permissive firewall policies.
Attention to
Detail:
Maintain precision in firewall policy cleanup and security optimization.
AI Exposure:
Familiarity with AI-related security is beneficial for approximately one-third of candidates, though this is not a coding position.
Key Qualifications:
Expertise in Juniper firewall management, including rule/policy cleanup and optimization.
Strong proficiency in TCP/IP and Internet Protocol.
Experience in developing MOPS, SOPs, playbooks, and structured task lists.
Knowledge of automation tools such as Firewall Analyzer.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like AlgoSec & JSA.Precision and attention to detail in security optimization.
Exposure to AI-related security is a plus.
