Network Security Engineer IIIApply locations US, GA – Atlantatime type Full time posted on Posted 4 Days Ago job requisition idR27835The Senior Network Engineer – Network Security is responsiblefor designing, implementing, and maintaining network securitysystems to protect the organization’s digital infrastructure. Thisrole will involve working closely with the Global InformationSecurity team to enhance the overall security posture of theorganization, implementing new tools, and ensuring compliance withbest practices in network security.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain advanced network securitysolutions to protect the organization’s networkinfrastructure. Evaluate, recommend, and implement new security tools,technologies, and processes to enhance network security. Collaborate closely with the Global Information Security(InfoSec) team to align with global security strategies andpolicies. Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify,investigate, and mitigate potential security incidents andvulnerabilities. Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, andpenetration testing to identify and address securityweaknesses. Develop and enforce network security policies, protocols, andprocedures in line with industry best practices and regulatoryrequirements. Design and manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusiondetection/prevention systems, and other security-related networkhardware/software. Lead the deployment and configuration of network accesscontrols, authentication, and authorization protocols to secureaccess to sensitive data and resources. Oversee security incident response processes, including rootcause analysis and remediation efforts, to mitigate futurerisks. Stay up-to-date on current network security threats,vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements to continuouslyimprove security posture. Train and mentor junior network engineers and team members onsecurity best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security,CISSP, CEH) are a plus. 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strongfocus on network security and associated technologies. Proficient in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs,IDS/IPS, and other network security technologies. Solid understanding of network protocols, security frameworks(e.g., NIST, ISO), and industry best practices for networksecurity. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills,with a proactive approach to improving network security. Experience with security information and event management(SIEM) systems and network security monitoring tools. Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional teamenvironment and to manage multiple projects and priorities in afast-paced setting.
