Competitive, based on experience About the Role We are seeking a skilled Information Security Operations Specialist to support day-to-day data security operations in a fully remote capacity. This short-term contract role is ideal for a security professional with hands-on experience in infrastructure security, compliance monitoring, and incident response. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity and availability of our security and networking infrastructure. Responsibilities Support the planning, design, installation, and maintenance of security systems aligned with organizational policies. Manage and monitor security infrastructure including firewalls, proxies, logging systems, and other security tools. Analyze and report on security event anomalies and trends. Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures. Promote security awareness and ensure adherence to security protocols. Investigate and respond to security incidents and violations. Define security requirements and assess systems for compliance with standards. Research and recommend security solutions based on business needs. Minimum Qualifications Proven experience in information security infrastructure support and operations. Strong understanding of computer security, risk analysis, audit, and compliance. Hands-on experience with security practices, network protocols, software, and hardware. Familiarity with web vulnerability assessment tools and techniques. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications CISSP certification or equivalent is highly desirable. Experience working in fast-paced, contract-based environments.
