Job Description
Product Security Engineer – Saint Louis, MO (Onsite, Locals Only)
We are seeking a Product Security Engineer to lead the cybersecurity aspects of full-lifecycle development, manufacturing, and production of embedded systems for high-impact defense programs.
Responsibilities:
Decompose and implement DoD Cybersecurity Requirements for embedded products (e.g., guided bombs, missiles).Translate high-level DoD cybersecurity requirements into product-specific requirements and guidelines.
Support design, development, integration, verification, validation, and testing for secure weapon systems.
Conduct threat modeling, cyber test activities, risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.
Lead system analysis and provide security engineering support throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Cybersecurity or Engineering.
IAT/IAM Level 1 Certification or higher (e.g., A+, Network+, SSCP, Security+, CAP, GISF, GSLC).
Experience in:
Secure boot & firmware updatesCryptographic HW/SW integrityReal-time OS securityThreat modeling in embedded environmentsRisk Management Framework (RMF) NIST & DoD StandardsEngineering lifecycle implementation of cybersecurity
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with compliance standards such as
TEMPEST, DFARS , COMSEC, CNSSI 1253, DOD 8570, NIST
800-series
Experience in:
Penetration testing and threat evaluations (e.g., Cyber Table Tops, CVAs, adversarial assessments)Requirements and CONOPS developmentHW/SW development, integration, testingModel-Based Engineering and major engineering reviews (e.g., PDR/CDR)Risk management and operational security planning
