Overview:

SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia’s BestPlaces to Work, is looking for an experienced professional to joinour team! As a Red Team Penetration Tester III, you will beresponsible for conducting penetration testing and conductingoffensive cybersecurity operations for the U.S. Government and DoDsystems. You will work collaboratively with Blue Team andCybersecurity professionals to enhance overall cyber posture.

Position is contingent upon award of contract, anticipated inDecember of 2025.

Clearance:

An ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI EligibleClearance (IT Level I Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) isrequired for this position. Applicants selected will be subject toa security investigation and may need to meet eligibilityrequirements for access to classified information. US Citizenshipis required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

In-depthunderstanding of computer security, military system specifications,and DoD cybersecurity policies Strong ability to communicateclearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations Mustpossess one or more of the following DoD 8570.01-

CEH CySA

CISA GSNA CFR
PenTest Responsibilities:

Develop, modify, and utilize offensive security tools such asMetasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, and Cobalt Strike Mimic threat actorbehavior using TTPs aligned with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CKConduct assessments across multiple operating systems includingLinux, Windows, and macOS Perform exploit development and identifyzero-day or previously unknown vulnerabilities Analyze, identify,and remediate gaps in offensive tools and development techniquesPerform development with at least two scripting or programminglanguages (Python, C++, Java, Rust, Assembly, C#, etc.) in supportof exploit development

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Seven (7)years of full-time professional experience conducting penetrationtesting or offensive Cyber operations in each of the followingareas: Developing and utilizing penetration tools such asMetasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, Cobalt Strike Mimicking threatbehavior and adversary emulation Utilizing various operatingsystems (Linux, Windows, MAC OS) Utilizing Active DirectoryPerforming exploit development Identifying gaps in tools anddevelopment techniques Performing development with at least twoscripting or programming languages (python, C++, Java, Rust,Assembly, C#, etc.) Possess one or more of the followingcertifications: Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) Offensive SecurityExploitation Expert (OSEE) Offensive Security Wireless Professional(OSWP)

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Information Systems,Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Sciencein Computer Science, or Bachelor of Science in

Computer EngineeringCompensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a numberof factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’sexperience, education, training, security clearance, work location,skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with ourcorporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements. Theprojected annual compensation range for this position is$90,000-$150,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salaryrange for this position and is just one component of the totalcompensation package that SimVentions offers.
