We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Google Workspace Administrator to join our Operations team.

YOUR ROLE AND LOCATION

This position will include providing both remote and on-site IT support for a variety of businesses around the triangle. Core business hours are 8:30am – 5:30pm M-F with a rotating after-hours on-call schedule that includes evening and weekend coverage.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

First and foremost, we would love to find a terrific teammate, able to work in a consistently collaborative manner with our Helpdesk and Operations groups (and beyond). Secondly, in this role, we would love to find someone who is excited to take ownership of our Google Workspace environment—ensuring optimal configuration, deployment, and security of the suite and its associated applications. You’ll play a critical part in supporting our growing organization by managing user access, enforcing security protocols, optimizing collaboration tools, and maintaining system integrity across all Google Workspace apps.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will assist in the following duties: Administer Google Workspace (GWS) environments for multiple clients, perform setup and configuration of new Google Workspace tenets, including user provisioning, OU structuring, and security policy enforcement. Act as primary escalation point for Google Workspace support-related issues across client accounts. Manage user lifecycle processes across multiple organizations, including onboarding, offboarding, and permission auditing. Configure and enforce security settings such as MFA, DLP, access controls, and mobile management for client environments. Monitor system performance, usage analytics, and security events using Google Admin tools and third-party integrations. Maintain up-to-date documentation for each client’s configuration, procedures, and service history. Stay informed of new features, roadmap changes, and industry best practices to proactively advise clients on improvements.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Google Workspace administration and support (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, user management, security settings) Strong understanding of Google Workspace security best practices, including MDM, data protection, alert management, and access control Experience with PSA/RMM platforms such as HaloPSA or ConnectWise Experience troubleshooting technical issues involving all manner of hardware, software, server, network, and data backup configurations Accounts, Permissions, and Policies in an Active Directory domain environment

PREFERRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Proficiency with macOS operating systems and hardware Experience managing

SSO/SAML

integrations and third-party identity providers Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Google Apps Script, PowerShell, Python) Microsoft tools (Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager) Windows Server 2012-2022 operating systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

4+ years of experience supporting Google Workspace in a business environment, preferably within an MSP Professional Google Workspace Administrator or Associate Google Workspace Administrator certifications a plus
