Purpose of the Job
The Corporate Security Services Manager develops and executes strategies for all aspects of the Credit Union’s internal and external physical security, fire/ life safety, and emergency response to maintain regulatory compliance and mitigate operational, financial, and reputation risks. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Responsible for the creation and execution of policies and procedures to ensure strategic alignment with physical security, fire/life safety, as well as internal and external criminal investigations associated with physical security incidents, while ensuring adnce to regulatory compliance. Creates, executes, and assesses strategies for security and safety controls to mitigate risk. Designs, develops, implements, and administers physical security and fire/life safety programs to ensure that employees, members, facilities, assets, records and proprietary information are protected. Develops and implements training programs for in-person as well as virtual learning for employee response to crises and incidents including robberies, building evacuation, workplace violence, bomb threats, and hazardous weather. Creates and executes organizational strategies for centralized incident reporting management program for all physical security, fire and life safety. Sources and negotiates vendor relationships for the design, installation and maintenance of access control, fire/life safety, alarm, CCTV and banking equipment systems, including drive-up units, night deposit drops, teller cash storage, vaults/safes, etc. Develops and executes risk profile program for background inquiries for new, existing, and previous vendors. Acts as key member of corporate and departmental project teams to ensure mitigation strategies for physical security and fire/life safety throughout the organizational foot. Manages Security Services assistance to other departments for criminal and civil search warrants and subpoenas from local as well as federal governmental agencies, including FBI, US Secret Service, US Postal Inspector, Office of Inspector General, Homeland Security, IRS, etc.. If required under a subpoena for testimony, will testify via affidavit or in court to speak on behalf of the Credit Union regarding its security measures. Selects, hires, trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Develops an accountable, cohesive and member focused team – manages, supports and leads a team while exercising functional responsibility within approved processes and procedures. Responsible for the creation and management of departmental budget. Networks, establishes, and maintains strong working relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, along with peers from other financial institutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must possess strong programming, working, technical, and theoretical knowledge of physical security and fire/life safety programs, hardware and software
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills to effectively deal with credit union management, employees, members, and law enforcement agencies in both pleasant and contentious situations
Must have strong budget acumen as well as analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to research issues, summarize findings, and make meaningful recommendations
Must have superior interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible, compassionate
Strong PC skills required including intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Must be able to lead and motivate teams
Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general communications, professional periodicals/journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations
Must have ability to understand all business processes within the credit union
Must be detail oriented, with strong organizational skills, and have ability to effectively and efficiently manage workload, multiple projects, and competing priorities
Must have ability to write reports, business correspondence and policy/procedure manuals
Must have ability to work in a general office environment
Must have ability to work in high stress, fast paced, and rapidly changing environment with time critical situations and emergency circumstances
Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant’s members
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping required
Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
Regular travel and operation of multiple different fleet vehicles
After hour access 24/7 for emergency response and management
Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
Education and Background
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience in physical security, emergency management, or fire and life safety required
Minimum of seven (7) years financial industry experience in executive security, physical security, fire/life safety, and investigations
Minimum of five (5) years previous managerial experience required
Must have experience working with complex integrated vendor solutions and managing high-level, strategic relationships, and third party service providers
Must have experience in managing organizations, strategic planning, crisis management, threat and vulnerability analysis, training, and training development
Certified Financial Service Security Professional (CFSSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred
