Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Experience in threat assessment or related field. Duties and Responsibilities Gather data from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT) and internal databases as allowed by law Evaluate the credibility and reliability of threat information and consult in active threat assessment investigations by evaluating information from various sources Create professional products to support identifying risk and protective factors associated with an increased risk of targeted violence and deploy analytical tradecraft techniques to make judgements on proximal and distal warning behaviors from multiple sources pertaining to behavioral threat assessment. Maintain accurate records of all analyses, reports, and communications regarding threats and threats assessments Maintain situational awareness of events and information that may impact campus safety or operations Maintain an understanding of threat assessment and management and best practices for intelligence analyst working in the field of threat assessment Maintain an understanding of state and federal laws related to student and employee privacy Other Work/Responsibilities Other work as assigned by supervisor.
