The Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across the organization’s information systems. This position supports the security team in protecting SteelFab data, infrastructure, and assets from cyber threats, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions Monitor security alerts and events from security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and endpoint protection software. Perform initial triage and investigation of security incidents, escalating as necessary. Assist in vulnerability assessments and patch management processes. Support the implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices. Analyze logs and reports to detect potential security threats or policy violations. Document incidents and findings in a clear, concise, and structured manner. Participate in security audits and risk assessments. Triage phishing emails. Contribute to awareness training and security education campaigns for employees. Stay current on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; or high school diploma or equivalent with corresponding security or IT work experience. Understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., threat vectors, vulnerabilities, risk). Familiarity with operating systems, authentication protocols, email protocols, networking protocols, and common security tools. Familiarity with data flow and network diagrams. Knowledge of incident response and digital forensics principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
