Job Summary:
The Senior Security Engineer will support both Linux and Windows environments from an OS standpoint, with a focus on Dell PowerMax and PowerScale storage systems. The individual will be responsible for provisioning, patching, maintaining, and monitoring storage to ensure capacity and security compliance. This role also includes maintaining Tanium—a real-time endpoint visibility and control platform—to ensure vulnerability remediation and system patching.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide OS-level support for Linux and Windows environments.
Administer and maintain Dell PowerMax and PowerScale storage systems.
Provision and allocate storage as needed, ensuring availability and performance.
Monitor storage environments to avoid capacity issues and service disruptions.
Collaborate with vendors to apply patches and maintain optimal storage functionality.
Support Tanium platform for endpoint visibility and vulnerability detection.
Ensure all systems/devices are patched appropriately based on Tanium findings.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage and patching-related issues.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with Windows and Linux OS administration
Proficiency in VMware (virtual operating environments)
Experience with Dell PowerMax and Dell PowerScale storage solutions
Ability to monitor and provision storage infrastructure
Familiarity with patch management and vulnerability remediation
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with Tanium (preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided)
Experience in enterprise-level
IT Security and Infrastructure Management Certifications:
Not mandatory but relevant certifications in Storage Administration, VMware, or Security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
