The North Carolina Department of Revenue, Governance Risk & Compliance Division has an opening for an experienced GRC IT Analyst. The mission of the GRC team is established and directed by the CIO and includes the assessment of IT Division compliance with: IRS Safeguards requirements, baseline information security control requirements, and IT Governance that facilitates implementation of these requirements. The GRC mission also includes reporting issues/findings to the CIO through management of the IT Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M), tracking remediation of POA&M findings/issues, determining standards of findings/issue remediation, and analyzing evidence provided to determine if remediation of the finding/issue has been achieved through evaluation of the response for assurance, quality, and completeness. Additionally, GRC manages IRS Safeguards information reporting compliance for the IT division. The primary purpose of the GRC IT Analyst is to perform compliance assessments, report on and track remediation of issues/findings, and contribute to GRC Team projects and operational functions as directed by the CIO and the GRC Manager.
The NCDOR has deemed this position as hybrid. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
Prior work experience in GRC, IT Audit, or the information technology field. Ability to provide technical leadership on complex projects to a wide range of roles across the Agency internally. Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects with good judgment. Ability to use advanced features of the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Teams, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, project management, written and oral communications skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Management Preference:

Management prefers experience in GRC and/or IT Audit
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor degree in computer science or a related IT related field or closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in IT Security; or Associate degree in computer science or a related IT related field or closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in IT Security; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
