Business Risk Associate- Fairview Cyber Fairview® Cyber is seeking an experienced Business Risk Associate for our team. Responsibilities:
Assist with drafting policies and procedures related to cybersecurity, vendor management, incident response, access management, and business continuity for Fairview Cyber clients. Manage client projects evaluating their vendor management, privacy, data, and cybersecurity practices and identifying areas for improvement. Advise clients on adherence to their policies and procedures related to privacy and data security programs, regulatory expectations set forth by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the GLBA, and CCPA compliance programs (if applicable), and any local or business-specific privacy requirements. Manage a client’s Vendor Management Program, including conducting initial and annual due diligence reviews for the client’s vendors. Due diligence reviews include requesting and evaluating materials provided by the vendor, summarizing findings, and providing recommendations. Interface with a client’s third-party provider to discuss items related to data privacy, vendor management, and the client’s cyber and data security program. Prepare and manage materials for client meetings including agendas, meeting minutes, and quarterly Information Security Committee materials (as applicable). Work with clients to manage cybersecurity compliance for the firm to ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risks, including working with clients to conduct risk assessments, develop incident management plans, and conduct cyber and privacy training. Maintain records related to the deliverables completed including vendor management, data privacy, and cyber security practices. Coordinate with clients regarding the reporting, investigation and remediation of cybersecurity incidents in a timely manner consistent with legal requirements. Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this position is experienced with data privacy policies, preferably for a financial services company. Knowledge and understanding of SOC information standards. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Desire to work closely with partners and clients to provide exceptional service. Self-starter and growth oriented. Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and guidance. Project management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Minimum 3 years experience in the field. Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degrees in relevant disciplines (MBA, JD, MIS, CIS) or certifications in related fields (FIP, CIPP/US, CIPM, or CHP) are strongly preferred but not required such as CIPP/US or other relevant certification is preferred but not required.
