Job Description
Conduct security assessments/testing, build the security fabric of a modern massive scale infrastructure, build and understand threat models. Conduct in-depth security reviews of designs, back-end services, and business integrations ensuring user permissions are managed correctly. Design and implement secure solutions for authentication and authorization, networking, orchestration, deployment configuration, logging, system hardening, threat hunting and debugging of cloud services. Investigate events, triage potential incidents, and work closely with multiple Snap Inc. teams during incidents to drive response efforts. Design, architect and implement security software and services. Be a champion for security and user privacy. •Required education/experience: Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered and/or Software Engineering or closely related experience. •Required skills: Knowledge and/or experience in: Programming languages: Java, C++, Python, JavaScript.

Mac OS, Linux. Authentication and Authorization protocols. Security threat models. Networking protocols and security. Scalable systems architecture. Parallel and distributed computing. Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for third-party integration solutions.•Knowledge/experience means knowledge/experience sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.•

Snap Inc., 229 West 43rd Street, New York City, NY 10036. •Hybrid work permitted – Snap practices a “default together” approach and expects our team members to work in the New York City, NY office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week; $209,000 – $313,000 per year. This position is eligible for a discretionary performance-based bonus award. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
