Wireless Pen Test Consultant in NYC Jconnect Tristates, NY •

Remote JD:

We are seeking a skilled Wireless Penetration Tester to assess the security of wireless networks, devices, and protocols. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in identifying vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID, Zigbee, and other wireless technologies. You will conduct ethical hacking, penetration testing, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform wireless security assessments (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IoT, RFID, etc.). Conduct penetration testing on wireless networks, identifying vulnerabilities like weak encryption, rogue APs, MITM attacks, etc. Use tools like Aircrack-ng, Wireshark, Kismet, Hak5 gear, Kali Linux, etc. Evaluate WPA2/WPA3, EAP, 802.1X, and other authentication mechanisms. Test for

RFID/NFC

cloning, Zigbee/Z-Wave exploits, and cellular (4G/5G) vulnerabilities. Simulate real-world attacks (e.g., Evil Twin, Karma Attacks, Deauthentication). Document findings and provide remediation strategies. Stay updated on emerging wireless threats and zero-day exploits. Assist in red team engagements involving wireless attack vectors.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years in penetration testing, with a focus on wireless security. Certifications like OSCP, CWAPT, CEH, or

GIAC GWAPT

are preferred.
