Sophos is headquartered in Oxford, U.K. Role Summary Asthe Director, Cyber Insurance, you will own the cyber-insurance andcyber-risk product/services strategy and direction with the goal ofmaximizing consulting revenue and software revenue pull-through viacyber-insurance ecosystem partnerships. You will manage a globalteam of cyber insurance business development professionals.
Collaboration with channel sales, alliances, and marketing will beessential to refine the program’s value proposition and demonstrateour differentiated value to cyber-risk partners. A strongpartnership with the consulting product management team will benecessary to drive insurance requirements back into the consultingroadmap, ensuring we remain the preferred vendor forcyber-insurance companies. Cross-functional work with theconsulting core team will help drive process and deliveryimprovements that align with cyber-insurance companies’expectations. As the ongoing business development executive forcyber-insurance companies, you will ensure the sustainability ofour insurance panel memberships and maintain a market-leadingoffering on the panel. Keeping an eye on emerging trends in thisspace will be key to identifying new strategies that drive businessthrough both new and existing partnerships. What You Will Do
- Serve as the Sophos product evangelist for offerings positioned tocyber insurance partners.
- Grow cyber insurance panelrelationships to drive emergency incident response opportunities.
- Identify and ensure alignment with breach counsel to enhance easeof doing business making Sophos the top choice for the broadercyber insurance ecosystem inclusive of brokers and breach counsel
- Manage globally distributed business development team focused onwinning with our cyber-insurance partners
- Drive the offeringstrategy and business case/opportunity
- Evaluate and vet potentialcyber-insurance and legal partnerships that will deliver a positiveROI for Sophos
- Define partnership requirements for cyberinsurance ecosystem
- Stay current on cyber risk industry trendsand the technology ecosystem to drive the partnership strategy
- Communicate, and develop quantitative business case to driveproduct and service investments
- Track key metrics and performanceof partners that have been onboarded
- Roadmap ownership ofcapabilities necessary to enable Sophos inclusion on insurerpanels.
- Internal SME
- Become the internal authority on theSophos portfolio as it relates to positioning to cyber riskpartners. What You Will Bring
- Minimum of 5 years’ experienceworking with Cyber Insurers, Cyber Insurance Brokers, BreachCoaches
- Minimum of 3 years’ directly managing a businessdevelopment or partner management team
- Established existingrelationships with the cyber insurance community
- Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent experience required
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to influence others – create a vision and align othersaround it
- Track record of working in a geographically distributedenvironment
- Communication skills necessary to reach a widevariety of perspectives represented by different, internal groups
- Experience working at a technology product or services company
- Experience building and/or managing and growing a portfolio thatincludes incident response services.
- Analytic skills necessary tocreate and analyze business cases and cost/benefit scenarios
